The Late Rev. Dr. Dorothy W. Lewis was ordained in 1989 as a Minister and a full-time Pastor at Love Gospel Assembly, Bronx, New York. Since her ordination she led the Education Department and many other ministries and programs including serving as interim Senior Pastor of Love Gospel Assembly for one year until her passing in March 2020. However, she is best remembered for her role as President of Antioch School of Urban Ministry, where she served for over 27 years.
Her wealth of Biblical knowledge and life experiences served Antioch and the Body of Christ well. She carried a special anointing that was evident in everything she did. Dr. Lewis had an outstanding gift for teaching and preaching which led her to share her gifting throughout New York State and other cities across the United States, as well globally to Barbados, West Indies, and to the continent of Africa.
Dr. Lewis was also the President and Founder of the ASUM Scholarship Fund, Inc. since its inception in 2014. She was a committed and dedicated servant of the Lord Jesus Christ from her childhood until she went home to be with the Lord in March 2020. She is survived by her two sons, Harold Jr. and Stephen Lewis, and has seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
